Early Childhood Intervention

In Victoria, support for children with disabilities or developmental delays and their families is funded by the Department, but managed by non-government early childhood intervention agencies.

The agencies managed by the Department’s Early Childhood Intervention Services aim to give parents and families the knowledge, skills and support they require to meet the needs of their children.

Assistance provided includes special education, therapy and counselling. Service providers work in close partnership with families.
